The camera's color is purple. How should I proceed?

In most cases, it is a hardware issue with the camera

This issue with the camera is likely related to its infrared sensor.

To resolve this, try to:

1) Power Cycle the Camera:

    • Disconnect the camera from its power source.
    • Wait for about 20 seconds.
    • Reconnect the power and allow the camera to reboot.

2) Physical Inspection and Gentle Tapping:

  • Inspect the camera lens to ensure no protective film is obstructing the view.
  • Gently tap the camera near the lens area to potentially dislodge a stuck IR-cut filter.


3) Manually Toggle Day/Night Mode
:

    • Access the camera's settings through the web interface or associated software.
    • Locate the image or display settings.
    • Switch between 'Day' (color) and 'Night' (black and white) modes multiple times to attempt to reset the IR-cut filter.


In case that does not help, please reach out to the camera installer, as the camera may be defective and need to be replaced.
